69 micrometers
House, latex paint, sand paper, paintbrush, ladder, 2012
For this project I sanded the eastern face of the house with my hands using sheets of sandpaper. I then painted the western face of the house by hand with a paintbrush. After these tasks were completed, the house was shifted back roughly 69 micrometers, or the thickness of one layer of paint. I, therefore, was able to shift an entire house westward with my own two hands.
